Dr. Bruce K. Barrow

Dr. Barrow is a 1981 graduate of the University of Missouri School of Dentistry in Kansas City. After completion of his dental school training, he completed a post-graduate, general practice residency in Minneapolis, Minnesota with special emphasis on restorative dentistry. Upon returning to Kansas City, Dr. Barrow served on the faculty at UMKC School of Dentistry, and joined Dr. William McGrannahan, who had an established restorative practice on the Country Club Plaza.

Dedicated to professional and personal growth, Dr. Barrow is an alumnus and mentor of the L.D. Pankey Institute, world famous for advanced training in state-of-the-art dental care. He first attended the Pankey Institute in 1985 and has completed five of the six continuums, as well as several special studies courses at the institute. Additionally, in 1997, he completed a post-graduate program in esthetic dentistry at the UMKC School of Dentistry. Dr. Barrow is currently a member of the American Dental Association, the Missouri Dental Association, the Greater Kansas City Dental Society and the American Academy of Esthetic Dentistry.

Dr. Barrow feels continuing education is a critical aspect of maintaining a modern, technically advanced dental practice and attends many hours of continuing education each year, training under some of the country's best dental practioners and researchers.

Dr. Barrow's practice has been continually located in the heart of the famous Country Club Plaza for nearly 25 years and has developed and maintained a reputation for integrity and excellence.

DEBBIE KLENKLEN

Debbie has been an office manager for Dr. Barrow since he began his practice and has been in dentistry for 30 years. Debbie received her training as a certified dental assistant from the College of Medical and Dental Assistants and worked for 4 years as a chairside assistant for Dr John Gossett before becoming an office manager... first for Dr.William McGrannahan and later for Dr. Barrow.

Expertise in dental insurance coding and practice finances allows Debbie to help patients better understand their policies and receive maximum coverage for their dental claims. For our patients without dental insurance, great care is given to their financial concerns as well.

Debbie says, "I have been fortunate to remain in this office for over thirty years and have enjoyed watching the families in our practice grow from children to adults with children of their own. It has been a pleasure to know them all."

Debbie and her husband, Don, have two daughters and live in Lenexa.

APRIL JANSSEN

With 15 years of experience in dentistry, April wears many hats in Dr. Barrow's practice. From appointment coordinator in the front office to chairside assistant when needed. April will be the friendly voice when you call of an appointment or will greet you with a smile when you come in for your dental visit.

Born and raised in Georgia, April has lived in the midwest for 11 years. In 2005, she and her husband, Pat, became the proud parents of their first baby girl, Chloe.

BECKY PECK

Becky is a dental hygiene graduate from Johnson County Community College and has been in dentistry for more than 5 years.

Beck loves to establish relationships with her patients by caring for and helping them with their dental needs. She is very family driven and appreciates working in an office where patients are treated and cared for like family and friends.

Becky explains, "This office has a great team of professionals who are dedicated to providing great preventive care and a dentist who takes great pride in his excellent work."

Becky and her husband, Justin, have two daughters and live in Prairie Village.

ALINE SOUSANIAN, RDH, M.P.A.

Aline graduated from the University of California, San Francisco, School of Dentistry with a Bachelor's of Science Degree in Dental Hygiene. She also obtained a Master's Degree in Public Health Administration from the University of San Francisco.

Aline has practiced dental hygiene since 1998 and recently moved to Kansas City from northern California. Besides working as a dental hygienist for Dr. Barrow, Aline is also on the faculty part time at the UMKC School of Dentistry in the Department of Dental Hygiene.
